Members of the Outreach & Inclusion Committee are elected or appointed in accordance with the State DFL Constitution and Bylaws. The committee is composed of Outreach & Inclusion Officers elected by congressional districts and community outreach organizations, representatives elected by congressional districts, and any additional members provided for under governing documents. The State Outreach & Inclusion Officer(s) serve as committee leadership. The State Party Chair and Vice Chairs also serve as ex officio members of the committee.

Elected committee members serve a two-year term of office commencing at the adjournment of the first State Central Committee meeting following each State Convention held in even-numbered years. The term of office expires upon the adjournment of that same meeting two years later, unless otherwise specified in the Constitution and Bylaws.
